When I was photographing wine labels on the deck earlier this month, I noticed that the patio umbrella was in the “tilted” position and I couldn’t figure out how to get it back up. So I told my husband that he needed to take care of it sometime.
Fast-forward to last night, and this was the scene from my patio door. When I told John about it, his response was, “Looks like someone forgot to close the umbrella.”
Wait, what? Here I am thinking it’s his fault for not fixing the tilting situation, and it *might* actually be partially my fault for failing to close the umbrella? (It is possible that I tried to close the umbrella, but couldn’t, and that’s the story I should probably stick to.) But either way, this sucks, and I have no idea how much it will cost to replace the glass. Luckily, I think I still have the tags that came with the set, so I should at least be able to identify the brand and do some sleuthing.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
